Say hello to People’s Sexiest Man Alive: NICO, UNCOVERED
Nicolás Ángel Hernández, better known as "Nico," has been one of Hollywood's hottest leading men for years. He's won critical acclaim for his performances, but it’s his rugged good looks that have made him a fan favorite.
Despite his blockbuster success, Nico has the reputation of being an enigma – that is, until now.
I linked up with the Spanish heartthrob at a trendy bar in West Hollywood, and from the moment he walks in, it's clear that he's in a playful mood.
He greets me with a grin and a twinkle in his eye, and it's not long before we are laughing and joking like old friends.
Quite a shift from his notoriously shy demeanor. What’s got the handsome fellow feeling good?
"I'm in love," he says, his voice low and smoky.
Is it just me… or did you also hear the sound of a million hearts breaking?
When I press him for more details about his love life, Nico flashes a coy smile. "Sorry, amigo," he says, "a gentleman never kisses and tells."
I try to pry more details out of him, but Nico just grins and shakes his head. It’s clear that whomever has snagged this leading man, she is not part of the Hollywood crowd.
Despite the mystery surrounding his love life, Nico is more than happy to talk about his work. He's just wrapped up filming on a new thriller directed by George Cline – in which he plays against type as the villain – and he's excited for fans to see him in a new light.
"I've always loved watching psychological thrillers," he says. "And this movie was really challenging – physically and emotionally. But I think audiences are going to love it."
When we ask him about his reputation as a serious actor, Nico just laughs. "I'm not that serious," he says. "I mean, I take my work seriously, but I like to have fun too. Life is too short to be all work and no play."
And what about the illustrious news of being named People’s Sexiest Man Alive for the second time?
He chuckles. "I'm starting to think you’re just running out of options!"
As the night wears on, Nico regales me with stories of his travels, his hobbies, and his love of good food and wine. He's charming and charismatic, and it's easy to see why he's become one of Hollywood's most sought-after leading men.
But even as he banters and jokes, there's a hint of sadness in his eyes – a sense that there's more to him than meets the eye. It's clear that there's a depth to Nico that we're only just beginning to uncover.
As we say our goodbyes and Nico disappears into the night, I’m left with a sense of intrigue and excitement. Who is this mysterious woman that has captured Nico's heart? And what other surprises does this sexy Spaniard have in store for us? Only time will tell.
