MONTE CARLO, MONACO

South of France is a principality called Monaco. Its capital city, Monte Carlo, has always been a hub for the rich and famous, but it was popularized by the high-profile wedding of Grace Kelly to Prince Ranier. Shockingly, this chic island is smaller than NYC’s Central Park!

The Diamond Suite Prince (Rainier III) at the Hôtel Paris is arguably the most glamorous suite in all of Monaco. But check out this this video and decide for yourself.

I own a casino in Monte Carlo, so when I am in town, I stay in the Hôtel Paris. I like to go in the summer and swim in the private pool in my suite, which overlooks the Mediterranean.

SANTORINI, GREECE

Blue on blue on blue. Santorini is known for its cerulean skies and cobalt cupolas. The island is a sensory paradise, with hilltop views overlooking the volcanos. You can’t think of Santorini without thinking of glamorous infinity pools.

Greece in August is simply unbearable. Too many tourists. I go to Santorini only in late June or early July. My uncle owns a small hotel there, but I only stay in private villas. I like to be alone.

LONDON, ENGLAND

Late May or early June are the perfect times to visit London. Later in the summer can be hot and muggy. The city’s views are unparalleled from the top of its ferris wheel, The Eye. Kensington Gardens and Westminster are wonderful places to get lost in the beauty of this royal locale.

My favorite place in London is my apartment. It overlooks Kensington Palace and the gardens. From time to time I go for tea at Fortnum and Mason, one of London’s most exclusive department stores.

PANTELLERIA, ITALY

July on the Italian islands cannot be beaten. Pantelleria, which is a privately owned island, has twisty roads and rocky coastline. Renting a catamaran is a wonderful way to spend time exploring the jagged edges and clear waters surrounding the island.

Unlike other places on the coast of Italy, the island of Pantelleria is less crowded. I like to take a Vespa out and head to secret beaches.

THE CHILEAN PATAGONIA

Winter in the Southern Hemisphere runs from June to August, so skiing in Patagonia is ideal during this time. Chile’s Tierra Patagonia hotel is a wonderful, picturesque escape, close enough to the slopes for the athletic, but with views stunning enough to entice even the laziest among us.

In Chile, I rent the entire hotel. I cannot be bothered with tourists. I have a driver who takes me to the slopes for skiing. In the evenings, I float in the pool and watch the sunset over the mountains.
