Warm Yourself Up with This Steamy Book Excerpt
You guys!!! Mermaid of New York is almost out! I can hardly believe that I’m now halfway through the Mermaid of Venice series.
As a sneak peek, here is a sexy excerpt from a chapter to warm you up on these cold and snowy days.
Excerpt from Chapter 40, Mermaid of New York
In the late afternoon Animals Deserve Ethical Treatment hosted a vegan feast at the Rainbow Room at Rockefeller Center. Gia glittered at the head table. She wore a creamy strapless gown with a crystal-encrusted cape draped over both shoulders.
When a quiet moment presented itself, she took a moment to skulk over to the twenty-foot-tall windows and take in the view. Directly across from her was the crown of the Empire State Building. It seemed as though she could wrap her arms around it, like a steel sequoia tree.
Here she was, floating at the top of Manhattan in the most iconic ballroom, staring at the city’s most exemplary view, and yet, she felt utterly alone.
Gia lifted a glass of champagne from a silver tray and sighed before taking a sip. She closed her eyes for a moment and let herself imagine Cameron strolling up behind her, smiling ear to ear, and then brushing her hair to the side, just before kissing the nape of her neck.
“Hello, beautiful.” Gia felt a warm breath against her earlobe, and for a moment, she allowed herself to pretend that it was Cam. Of course it was not. The whisper belonged to Riley Rose.

Riley pressed Gia against the wall and kissed her. She threaded the long fingers of her left hand into Gia’s hair and tugged. Her other hand traced Gia’s body from her waist, up past her breasts, to her neck. Riley raised her forearm and pressed it under Gia’s chin, choking her lightly. “You’re so fucking beautiful that you make me want to break your bones.”
Gia found herself taken in by the violence in Riley’s words. She arched her body, closing the space between herself and Riley.
“Do you like this, Gia?” Riley’s eyes sunk their little hooks into Gia’s. The latter answered the question with an enthusiastic kiss. Riley then gathered Gia’s skirt and explored everything below it.
Gia’s cape fell off her shoulders, crashing onto the concrete steps in a shatter, as crystals flew everywhere. Riley and Gia moved together to the top of the stairs, where Riley splayed Gia’s legs, tracing the elastic edges of Gia’s soaked panties. She bit Gia’s thigh as she slid two fingers inside, and then three. When Gia moved her hips in time with Riley’s hands, Riley pulled her closer. “I’m going to put every- thing inside you now, okay?”
“Everything?” Gia asked, confused…
